Trials for Manchester United cup squad have now begun. All players who turn 15 next year are welcome to attend trials. Our U14s who played up in the U15s this year won the south zone and went ahead and won the state playoffs and are champions of victoria. The U14s also came runners up in the group at the Manchester cup this year and are looking to better this by going all the way this time. The football world always refer to the Aussie footballers as "great athletes lacking good technique."
WHY? Because our junior leagues begin at a very early footballing age pushing coaches to focus more on tactics rather than technique to achieve success. This results in many junior players becoming good tactically, but lacking the most important ingredient to be an elite player. TECHNIQUE.
Determined to challenge the current generation of young players to reach their
potential, AUSTRALIA BSA have developed a summer technique-based program
designed to instill a high level of technique into our young participants.
We draw upon the experience and technical expertise of qualified International and local coaches along with highly motivated young coach/players currently in senior teams throughout Victoria.

PROGRAM 2009-2010,
Between 15th Oct - 20th Dec and 20th Jan -6th Mar with a break over Christmas.
It includes three weekday training sessions and one weekend game per fortnight, with a Presentation & Gala Day competition at the end of the program.Training days are 1st week - Mon , Wed and Thu 6pm to 7.30pm. Venues to be confirmed
Participants receive an Academy Kit (including playing/training strips) with opportunities to represent the Academy in local, interstate and international cups and competitions.
Cost: $480 for summer program.
All registered members will play in the Inter Academy League and cup through the length of the program.
